You do a ton to inspire them, Sheri.....I can honestly say that MOST of your kids seemed to really enjoy the books they were picking up this year. Your enthusiasm is really contagious. I know this because you inspire me a great deal : )

Perfect timing for this post because I just went through my classroom library and packed up 31 books to take home! I've already read one professional book and picked up another at the library yesterday (while my boys picked up a dozen books for themselves...love those kids). I also have a huge pile of books on the shelf next to my bed begging to be read. It is one of the great joys of summer to be able to read by the pool, on the beach, outside just before sunset and in bed when I don't have to get up early!

Now if I could just get ALL of my students to feel this joy! I do have to brag that 2 of my students wrote their own reading lists for the summer and have already picked out their first summer book!
